I guess most of you will agree if I'll say that the tastiest food is found in the streets. Indian street foods are known worldwide for their taste, diversity, and easy accessibility.

Aloo-Kachori is a ubiquitous dish when it comes to Delhi's street food. But Kachori-Chole is a unique dish that you might not have heard of. Very few food joints in Delhi serve 'Kachori-Chole, and 'Fateh Ki Kachori,' a name all of you must be familiar with, undoubtedly serves the best Kachori-Chole.

What Exactly is Fateh Ki Kachori?

You can locate a small food stall named Fateh Ki Kachori on Raj Niwas Marg in Civil Lines. Fateh Ki Kachori is known for serving the most delicious kachori in Delhi. Brij, the owner's grandfather, started selling their iconic Kachori-Chole over 50 years ago. He proudly claims that they are the first ones who invented this snack. His grandfather used to carry the delicacies on his head and hop from one school gate to another, before settling at the current spot near St. Xavier's School, Civil Lines.

Be prepared to get your hands and face dirty if you intend to indulge in this sumptuous snack. Self-restraint kicks in only after you have downed at least two pattas of Fateh ki Kachori. When they started in the mid-60s, they used to sell a patta of two kachoris with chole of 10 paise, and now it's priced at ₹25 (still so cheap, right!!). The cost may have increased, but the grandsons have maintained the tradition of selling pattas on a bicycle.

If you are in Delhi, then you should definitely give it a try.
